Absolutely not.
Wear any clothes that you feel comfortable in. Workout or yoga clothes are fine. The best attire is shorts and a short sleeve shirt so that you can get the best possible grip on the pole. Avoid any clothes that contain buttons or metal as they will scratch the pole and can pinch you in the process. You can wear tennis shoes, dance slippers, or go barefoot. You may also choose to wear heels!
Please avoid lotions and oils, these make the pole very slippery and dangerous. Don't wear any jewlery, such as rings, watches, and bracelets. These items can scratch the pole and be scratched by the pole.

No dance background is necessary. The beginner classes do not require a high level of flexibility. Streching exercises are a part of each class which help prepare you for more advanced classes.
Pole fitness and dance is very demanding on the shoulders, rotator cuff, and wrists. As with any form of exercise, you should consult your physician before starting this or any other exercise program.

Our classes include exercises that help develop the muscles to achieve success in pole. We strive to create a very supportive environment that helps you achieve your potential. We guarantee you'll surprise yourself with the moves you'll learn to perform.
